Between seasons, New England is an empty place on Earth. "Closed for the season" signs are everywhere. Skiing is over, but warm weather is still a month or two away. This roadtrip through Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and upstate New York took place during the third week of April, 2011.
